Moor Funds is pleased to announce a partnership with Columbia University to expand access to Moor’s executive and corporate mentoring program, the Open Path Project, to all Columbia University students.
Moor Funds CIO Edwin Hagan-Emmin commented; “we believe that an impactful Equity and Inclusion initiative should seek to address some of the real-world issues that prevent a significant portion of students, irrespective of race or gender, from recognizing or earning opportunities. At Moor, we have noted that students from challenging socio-economic backgrounds, rural communities, or even typical blue-collar homes often don’t have access to the executive and corporate networks that are a significant source of competitive advantage for well-connected students. Moor’s Open Path project aims to extend our firm’s corporate and executive network to students by offering direct engagement and mentoring between senior executives and Columbia’s most talented students. Whether raised in inner-city Detroit or a rural community in Wyoming we want to ensure that capable students get a chance to receive the type of impactful executive mentoring that will ensure graduate talent can compete for opportunities on an equal footing.”
